Mission Statement
Architectural Ceramic Design
is an organization dedicated to the design, construction, and
installation of only the finest hand made interior and exterior
ceramic architectural implements.
It is the emphasis of Architectural
Ceramic Design to create "one of a kind" works of art
that incorporate into the landscape a sense of "connection"
with the piece and the homeowner. It is our goal to not only create
works that become part of the physical structure, but focal points
and enhancements for the viewers living environment as well.
Quality, craftsmanship, and
a special attention to the needs of the viewer is a prime concern
and the key to creating this connection. By working directly with
our clients we can enhance and create the images that best conforms
their lifestyles and personalities.
Architectural Ceramic Design
is composed of three individual artists, all of which have obtained
a masters degree from the art school at California State
University at Fullerton. Along with similar educations, all of
the artists involved in the creative process have diverse practical
experience in the construction and business world.
John Kneifl is a local artist
who received his MFA in Sculpture and still owns and operates
his own electrical business. Don Fitzgerald, who received his
MFA in Ceramics, has over twenty years of working experience in
the production pottery industry and teaches at Saddleback Community
College in Mission Viejo California. Todd Van Dahlen, also a local
artist who received his MA in Sculpture, has an extensive background
in the new construction, home remodeling, and construction equipment
rental industries and also teaches at Cal State University at
Fullerton.
Currently, all participating
artists continue to show and create fine art works for local galleries
and museums in and out of Southern California. It is this unique
mixture of artists, practical experience, and attention to detail
which has enabled Architectural Ceramic Design to provide its
clients with fresh and up to date perspectives on the ancient
and beautiful craft of architectural ceramic implements.
